Two by Symphony serves up baked treats in Fashion Avenue
Fashion Avenue at The Dubai Mall is fast becoming a go-to spot when it comes to dining, with a whole range of exciting new restaurants opening in recent months.
And the most recent to throw open its doors is Two at Symphony.
Based in luxury fashion store Symphony, the eatery is billed as an “elegant yet casual boutique café” that “brings to life flavourful comfort foods, fresh, beautiful bakes and more inspired by the latest food trends”. Sounds good so far.
The name is inspired by sisters, Mouza and Salama Alabbar, who joined forces to create a new modern-day space where “handcrafted details, elevated experiences and beautiful designs come together as a whole”.
Salama is behind the boutique store Symphony, while Mouza provides the culinary side of the pairing.
Boasting a relaxed, casual environment, the restaurant houses a central coffee bar complete with freshly baked goods with Middle Eastern flavours.
Stars of the show include a cream cheese and fig jam cronut and a pistachio and rose cruffin, plus chocolate éclairs.
Two by Symphony will be serving up a range of dishes.
Breakfasts will include egg in brioche – featuring poached eggs inside brioche with a rich tomato confit, an all-day grilled cheese tartine and shakshuka.
Main meals include mushroom and truffle soup, date garden salad, crunchy calamari, burrata, baked feta and Korean sticky ribs.
There’s also grilled tiger prawns, crispy salmon, ravioli and herby chicken penne.
For those with a sweet tooth, don’t miss desserts. Signature dishes at Two include a molten chocolate and peanut butter fondant served with a chocolate coated gelato stick, as well as a sticky date pudding served with lotus crumb and vanilla bean gelato, topped off with toffee sauce.
Two by Symphony joins a host of new openings in the mall’s Fashion Avenue including Italian restaurants Cova and GIA, trendy Japanese Katsuya by Stark and travel-inspired eatery Somewhere.
This summer we’re also expecting a new restaurant from US celebrity chef Todd English to open, too.
The chef, who has a popular restaurant in Abu Dhabi – Todd English’s Olives – will be opening Todd English Food Hall in the coming months, believed to be around September.
The huge new space – which will span 12,000 sq ft – will be similar to The Todd English Food Hall, which is a popular location in The Plaza in New York.
As if we needed an excuse to hit the shops.
Open daily 10am-midnight. Fashion Avenue, The Dubai Mall, Downtown Dubai (04 874 8672).
