It sounds like the makings of something marvellous – and it certainly is.Award-winning play Carnage is coming to The Junction at Alserkal Avenue from Friday August 31 until Saturday September 1, with three performances across the two days.The dark comedy was written by French playwright Yasmina Reza and won the Laurence Olivier Award for best play in 2009 and a raft of Tony Awards for best play, best actress and best director. By the end of the meeting, all airs and graces have been done away with and the vicious exchange that ensues has awkward and hilarious consequences.So successful is the play, that it was made into a film of the same name in 2011 starring Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz, John C Reilly and Jodie Foster as the warring middle-class parents.Early bird tickets are available now for Dhs70 or regular tickets will cost Dhs100 closer to the time and on the door and tickets are available from Dubai Platinumlist.We can’t wait to see the claws come out.Dhs70 (early bird), Dhs100 (on the door).
